From idea to concept sketch to finished painting, this was multiple, multiple months of work (and secrets kept). And I’m honored to announce that Inspiration was selected as the official poster art for Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
Figment, monorail, Dreamfinder, Florida’s beautifully seemingly painted skies, Spaceship Earth (super challenging to paint, by the way) … I put a lot of work into creating this piece and I hope you enjoy looking for all the details throughout.
Is Figment doing his daily rounds to ensure his home is tip-top? Is he heading off to explore with Dreamfinder? Is he making sure all the Guests are taken care of at the end of the day? Is he awaiting the arrival of the monorail? It’s up to you - write the story you imagine.
The original oil painting Inspiration will be released at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts 2025 on opening day - January 17 - at my booth located near the entrance to World Showcase on the Canada side.
The 2025 festival poster will be available at festival merchandise locations throughout Epcot.
I am beyond honored to have my art selected as the official poster art for the second time! In 2020, I launched by Disney Parks Art Collection and my painting Best View In The House (also featuring Figment) was selected. The original sold on the day of release. During the Festival, the posters and the initial run of the limited edition of 95 also sold out. We released a second edition (different dimensions and framing) of 295 and that sold out a year ago. In October, we made the only 5 artist proofs of the edition available, all of which sold out.
So, I am thrilled to bring Figment back - along with Dreamfinder, Spaceship Earth and the monorail - for 2025 in the painting Inspiration.
The park opens at 9am with early entry at 8:30am and the Festival booths open at 11am.
